Eric Blake, CFP®

Founder and Lead Financial Planner

I started my career as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors in 1999. Over the last 25 years, I have realized that my true passion is helping women plan for a successful retirement.

Although many of our clients with Blake Wealth Management are couples, our firm will always prioritize supporting women throughout the retirement journey for a very simple reason.

"I am the man I am today because of the women in my life."

I was raised by a single mother who was divorced at a very young age, and my grandfather, who was my father figure, passed away when my grandmother was only 62 years old.

These women are my "Why."

I have seen firsthand the challenges that women face when navigating retirement on their own. However, with effective planning and a collaborative approach, you can live the retirement you deserve.

Our retirement planning process for women primarily focuses on three key areas. Optimizing Social Security, minimizing lifetime tax liability, and investing smarter.

On a personal note, I was born in Amarillo, Texas, but now live in McKinney, Texas.

My wife of 28 years, Dawn, has been by my side in good times and bad and literally in sickness and in health. Not only has she been more than I could have ever hoped for in a wife, but she is also an amazing mother to our two children.

And nothing makes me prouder than the amazing young adults that our daughter, Kaitlyn, and our son, Eric, have become.

Then, in 2024, our daughter blessed our family with the greatest gift of all. Our first grandchild. Sloane Cecile Rose Lolliot was born on January 12th. She is truly amazing.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in accounting. However, my most prized accomplishment is 28 years of marriage to my amazing wife, Dawn, and our two beautiful children, Kaitlyn and Eric.

When I am not diving headfirst into a client's retirement plan or tax strategies, you will find me working out, reading, listening to various podcasts, partaking in my newest obsession, pickleball, or traveling with Dawn.
